On the basis of a systematic analysis of the legislation governing the electronic procedure for performing notarial acts, introduced from December 29, 2020, the author considers the procedure for the remote procedure for securing evidence by notaries. The article indicates that the remote procedure for securing evidence is an alternative and does not exclude the applicant’s traditional appeal to a notary. The urgency of the development of electronic notaries in the era of universal digitalization of economic activity is argued. The problematic issues in the implementation of these innovations are disclosed and some solutions are proposed in their practical implementation.
