The article develops a proposal on the possibility of replacing a penalty in the form of a fine with an alternative to imprisonment using the principle of commensurability of replacing a fine with another type of punishment. It is proposed to apply a universal transferable unit equal to one minimum wage, equal to two months of forced labor (or 60 days).
