In the fight against crime, there are a number of covert activities, including the use of secret recording methods, traditionally related to the operational-investigative bodies, which were authorized to conduct secret activities by applying appropriate guarantees. At the same time, the authors note that if material evidence is deemed inadmissible on the grounds that its acquirer is unknown, then, based on this logic, such material objects should be declared inadmissible even in those cases when they were obtained as a result of search of the person or the area.
