The objective of this action research was to enhance the understanding of pupils Offinso College of Education practice school. Because of the documented positive impact of helping pupils was purposely to enhance to understanding of pupils knowledge in the concept of rusting. He study involved to the observation, interview and questionnaire as instrument to gather information about pupils’ previous and current performances before and after the intervention studies was implemented. The researcher used activity based methods to assist the pupils of Offinso College of Education Demonstration basic four to overcome their challenges relating to the concept rusting. Based on the findings deduced, the researcher recommended that, activity oriented methods of teaching that engages learners should be employed to cause the interest of pupils to overcome their challenges in science, specially the concept rusting.
