The authors present modern methodological approaches to the problems of development of younger generation’s social activity. We demonstrate the results of general analysis of scientific research during the last decade, which are connected to tendencies of children movement’s development, process of its modernization, and implementation of the principle of children’s participation in solving the problems that affect their interests. The research shows the priority issues in the solutions of younger generation’s social activity problems – the study of education system’s attitude towards children movement, public values of students; value standards priorities of the younger generation, difficulties in the process of delivery of norms and social practice traditions, mechanisms of interaction between social institutions of education in order to achieve the aims of the National Strategy of Actions in the interests of Children.
