The direct method of manufacturing the fitting and the need for temporary restorations made of selfhardening plastic material can be used to produce a perfectly seated and having an accurate outline of facings. This requires a minimum expenditure of time and materials. Because this method does not provide for preparation of the teeth, it allows the patient and the dentist visually examine the treatment plan does not preclude the adoption of alternative solutions in the planning stage.
