The article considers the rating of students of higher educational institutions as a way of presenting data in a compact and capacious form for collecting and recording information about their achievements in various types of activities. The article also presents the development of a software system for rating students ' achievements in the C# programming language, which will reduce the time spent on identifying leaders and laggards
