The article discusses the basics of the origin and development of the Institute of expert prevention. The aspects that cause changes in expert prevention measures in view of the global transition to information technologies are highlighted. The directions and features of the implementation of forensic prevention in the conditions of digitalization are revealed. The types of programs used for committing crimes in the IT sphere are given.
