Based on the involvement of a diverse range of sources, this article examines the attitude of the Ural workers to the new government after the victory of the February revolution. Their analysis, and above all the telegrams from the Ural factories to Petrograd, led to the conclusion that the workers supported her immensely, and that they hoped for a rapid and radical improvement in their lives and the situation in the country as a whole. At the same time, the distant contours of this future are blurred and vague, and almost everything is reduced to improving the quality of life and removing the local government and factory administration.
