The article is devoted to the identification of expressive means of vocabulary in Russian and English on the example of Jack London’s “The Story of Keesh”. The study provides a complete description of each example of expressive means. The lexical-semantic relations in Russian and English were systematized and the correspondent interpretations were given. A table and a diagram were built in which the quantitative and percentage ratio of the identified examples were calculated and classified.
