Cancer is a pressing global health challenge, asserts AMOR’s new Editor-in-Chief (EIC) Dr. Kwong Kwok Wong.“According to the estimation by the World Health Organization, there were 14 million new cases and 8.2 million cancer deaths in 2012,” he tells AMOR Media in an exclusive interview. “By the year 2030, the number of newly-diagnosed cancer cases will increase globally to 22 million and 70% of all cancer deaths will likely occur in low- and medium-income countries in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America,” he adds.
