The purpose of this article is to propose the use of a computational simulation tool in the disciplines of Productive Systems I and II, in the course of Production Engineering, relating the available software modules with contents covered in the disciplines, as well as to structure an approach to be used in the classroom. For that, a bibliographical survey was used, an analysis of the content of the discipline and of what is done in other universities, as well as a flowchart for the construction of the proposed problem. It is intended with the application of the problem to teaching the practical visualization of contents previously studied only in theory. It is concluded, therefore, that the use of simulation software, together with active learning methodologies, have a positive impact on the teaching-learning process.
