The article is devoted to the methodological issues of the analysis of information materials within the framework of psychological forensic expertise and psychological humanitarian expertise. Authorship and publication of information materials can be viewed as a kind of communication between their creator and consumers. In both types of expertise, currently the material is analyzed mainly from the standpoint of one of the parties to communication, which is partly due to objective circumstances. However, this makes it difficult to develop criteria for expert analysis necessary for reasoned answers to the questions posed to the expert examination. Problem has been resolved in relation to the psychological forensic expertise, but remains acute in relation to the humanitarian expertise. Analysis of the characteristics of perception and understanding of the information product by the consumer can help to resolve the indicated problem.
