The Other is Different from Me

The study analyzes the relationship between religion and violence in the Brazilian territory. Religious intolerance can be observed in the various aggressive behaviors against the faith of the other. The notes of tolerance incidence are shown as a general objective, specifying the concepts and characteristics of intolerance and tolerance, observing the socio-cultural formation. The different cultures found in the country dimension the importance of the plurality of religions. The influences of the Portuguese, Indian and African traditions are part of this syncretism. However, the conflicts between beliefs are constant, and there are violence against the right of expressions of faith, protected by law. Thus, intolerance is put forward as a show to bring to the fore the need for tolerance, since Brazil is recognized by ethnic, religious and other multiculturalism.O Outro é o Diferente de MimO estudo traz a análise da relação entre religião e violência no território brasileiro. A intolerância religiosa pode ser observada nos diversos comportamentos agressivos contra a fé do outro. Os apontamentos das incidências de tolerância são mostrados como objetivo geral, sendo especificados os conceitos e as características de intolerância e tolerância, observando a formação sociocultural. As diferentes culturas encontradas no País dimensionam a importância da pluralidade de religiões. As influências das tradições portuguesas, indígenas e africanas fazem parte desse sincretismo. Entretanto, os embates entre crenças são constantes, havendo violências contra o direito de expressões de fé, resguardado em lei. Assim, a intolerância é colocada como mostra para trazer à baila a necessidade da tolerância, já que o Brasil é reconhecido pela multiculturalidade étnica, religiosa, entre outras.
