The Servant of Yhwh: an Analysis of Isaiah 42,1-4

the research aims to analyze the first song of the Servant of YHWH that is inserted in the book of Dêutero-Isaiah. It is served in the classical instruments of biblical research. First of several theories about the formation of the corners, which allowed us to opt for the theory of Duhm, which presents the servant as an anonymous character. The historical-critical method favored the understanding of the first corner of Isaiah 42,1-4, especially the key concepts that describe the figure of the Servant. In this passage, the Servant/slave is called to accomplish a specific mission, to bring hope and the liberation of the people of God, leading them to salvation through the release of the oppressors. O Servo de Yhwh: uma Análise dDe Isaías 42,1-4 Resumo: a pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o primeiro Canto do Servo de YHWH que está inserido no livro do Dêutero-Isaías. A mesma se serviu dos instrumentos clássicos da pesquisa bíblica. Primeiramente das várias teorias sobre a formação dos Cantos, as quais nos possibilitou optar pela teoria de Duhm, o qual apresenta o Servo como um personagem anônimo. O método histórico-crítico favoreceu a compreensão do primeiro Canto de Isaías 42,1-4, especialmente dos conceitos-chave, que descrevem a figura do Servo. Nessa perícope, o Servo/escravo é chamado a realizar uma missão específica, a de levar a esperança e a libertação ao povo de Deus, conduzindo-os à salvação por meio da libertação dos opressores.
