Finalmente, hace hincapié en el filme Ágora que, trayéndola desde el pasado al presente, permite revalorarla en su justa dimensión. AbstractThis paper outlines the historical frame Hypatia lived as teacher, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher in the Alexandria Roman during the fourth and the fifth century of our era, the politico-religious turbulences she was exposed to as well as the pioneering and relevant Hypatia’s role among the scientific women of antiquity. Finally, the film Agora bringing Hypatia from the past to the present allows her to be reassessed in its proper dimension.
