Biochar Production Methods and Variuous Feedstocks Influence Corn GrowthAbstract. The making of biochar is well known to the Indonesian people but has not been used as a source of nutrients for plant growth. This study aims to determine the benefits of two methods of making biochar and two types of raw materials in supporting the growth of sweet corn plants. This study used a non-factorial randomized block design (RBD) with five combinations and three replications. With the treatment arrangement, namely M0 (without biochar), M1 (bamboo apus + kon-tiki method 10 ton ha-1), M2 (bambooapus + soil pit method 10 ton ha-1), M3 (pulai wood + kon-tiki method. 10 ton ha-1), and M4 (pulai wood + soil pit method 10 ton ha-1). The results showed that the treatment of the biochar method of apus bamboo and pulai wood had a significant effect on the growth of sweet corn plants. Treatment of M4 (pulai wood with Soil Pit method) had the highest value of all the parameters tested
