Potensi penyerapan CO2 tertinggi terdapat pada tipe Hutan Eucalyptus (HTI) yaitu 404,10 ton/ha dan terendah pada tipe penggunaan lahan alang-alang yaitu 20,19 ton/ha.Potential of Biomass Carbon in Several Types of Land Use in Blang Bintang Subdistrict Aceh Besar DistrictAbstract. Biomass in agricultural land is closely related to the contribution of carbon in the air. This is an effort to control the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere so that the amount of CO2 in the air must be controlled by increasing the amount of CO2 uptake by plants as much as possible and reducing the release (emission) of CO2 into the air in the lowest possible concentration. This research was carried out in Blang Bintang Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, precisely at the location at TPA Blang Bintang, Data Makmur, Uteun Sira, Eumpe Awee, and Cot Madhi and continued at the Soil and Plant Research Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University for analysis of C content. -organic on biomass. The highest biomass potential was found in Eucalyptus (HTI) forest use type, namely 110.11 tonnes / ha, and the lowest biomass potential was found in Imperata, namely 5.50 tonnes / ha, while the carbon potential (C) was 53.19 tonnes each. / ha and 2.84 tonnes / ha. The total absorption of CO2 in several types of land use in Blang Bintang Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District is 291,796.78 tonnes. The highest potential for CO2 absorption is found in Eucalyptus Forest (HTI) type, namely 404.10 tonnes / ha and the lowest is in alang-alang land use type, which is 20.19 tonnes / ha.
