Abstrak. Padi (Oryza sativa L.) merupakan komoditas utama sebagai pangan di Indonesia mengingat padi merupakan komoditi yang bernilai sangat tinggi ditinjau dari segi sosial, politik maupun ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan, karakteristik agronomi dan deskripsi dari beberapa galur  padi F5 hsil persilngan Sigupai dengan IRBB27. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam Banda Aceh pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Desember 2017. Rancangan  percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok non Faktorial. Bahan tanam yang  digunakan adalah 10 galur padi hasil F4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pada karakter kuantitatif dan kualitatif pada galur padi. Berdasarkan karakter agronomi dan pertumbuhan, galur padi inbrida SGP 5-2, SGP 2-1 SGP 14-2 dan SGP 7-2 memiliki potensi untuk diadopsi sebagai varietas unggul Aceh.Abstract. Paddy is one of commodity foodin Indonesia, considering that paddy is a very high-value commodity in term ofsocial, economic and political aspect. This study aims to determine the growth, agronomic characteristics and description of several strains of F5 rice from Sigupai crossing with IRBB27.The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture of Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh from May to December 2017. This study  used Randomized Block DesignNon Factorial. The planting material used was 10 strains of rice produced by F4. The results showed that there were differences in quantitative and qualitative characters in rice strains. Based on the character of astronomy and growth, the inbred rice lines SGP 5-2, SGP 2-1 SGP 14-2 and SGP 7-63 have the potential to be adopted as superior varieties of Aceh.
