This article’s aim is to enrich the reflection on how digital corpora studies can contribute to the analysis of specialized combinations. In order to evaluate this contribution, our objective will be to distinguish different kinds of word combinations into professional speeches for the catering area with the help of semantic and pragmatic aspects. First, we will assess the role devoted to word combinations into the teaching of French as a Foreign Language, then, we will present the methodology used to analyse the corpus before finally presenting the results.
