Presente histórico: uma leitura de Boca de Chafariz, de Rui Mourão

Este texto procura mostrar como, em Boca de Chafariz , o presente se constitui na forma privilegiada de ver e dar vida ao passado, contaminando mesmo toda a estrutura do romance em contínuos diálogos com diversas análises que se fizeram sobre Ouro Preto e a Inconfidência Mineira. This paper intends to show that, in the novel Boca de Chafariz , present is the only valid way to understand past as a living world. This vision contributes to the work’s structure by means of many references to other works that tried to analyse both Inconfidência Mineira and Ouro Preto, the city where it took place.
