Against the background of constant immunization of the population against tetanus, the incidence of this infection has decreased, but the mortality rate remains high.We analyzed 13 case histories of tetanus patients. In all cases the disease was generalized. Among the patients there were 9 men; 10 patients were rural residents. The age of the patients ranged from 21 to 47 years, indicating their insufficient prophylactic immunization. The disease was more often observed in April-October, i.e. during the agricultural season.
