Based on the nervous theory of eczema and proceeding from the fact that our methods of their treatment are reduced to external itching remedies, Prof. Lebedev was the first to try treatment of some forms of skin diseases by intravenous infusions of bromine salts and obtained good results in many cases. Of the Russian authors who have dealt with this question, we can mention Bobovich, Matousses, Tonian and Volpian, and of the foreign ones, Mankowsk'os (Vilna), Wolff (Altona) and Hbschmann (Prague).
