The problem of surgical treatment of anterior abdominal wall defects in children continues to attract the attention of surgeons. According to the literature of recent years, research is carried out in the following main directions: 1) identification of the causes of defects; 2) study of the changes occurring in the body due to extensive defects; 3) search for methods of reconstruction of the anterior abdominal wall.
