On ephetonin. Gutmann (Fortschr. d. Then, 1928, No. 10)

This alkaloid extracted from ephedra vulgaris has the same indications as adrenaline, but can also be given per os. The doses are double those of adrenaline. The effect is slower, but also lasts longer.
