Scientific advances in the physiology and pathology of the endocrine glands made it possible to establish their participation in many pathological processes and to successfully apply hormones in the treatment of many diseases. In the literature, there are indications of changes in the level of prothrombin in the blood in diseases of the thyroid gland, in particular, thyrotoxicosis. At the same time, most authors point to hypoprothrombinemia (A. V. Palladin, A. A. Polyantsev, E. Ginsburg, etc.). However, the question of the participation of the thyroid gland in prothrombin formation has been little studied.
