In the work "On the meaning of militant materialism" V. I. Lenin wrote: "We must understand that without a solid philosophical foundation, no natural sciences, no materialism can withstand the struggle against the onslaught of bourgeois ideas and the restoration of the bourgeois worldview"[1]. This thought of V. I. Lenin defines the principled position of medical scientists in the modern ideological struggle. It is the Marxist-Leninist theory of cognition, the theory of reflection and dialectical logic that serve as the methodological basis of modern medical diagnostics.
