Nesterov believes that streptococcal infection plays the role of a trigger mechanism. Streptococcus creates a lesion that leads to a toxic-allergic reaction from the joints. In accordance with this, Nesterov devotes a significant place to the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with antibiotics in parallel with desensitizing therapy.
