Based on the results of the operative treatment of patients with Dupuytrens contracture of fingers (more than 1000 operations) in general surgical and traumatologic departments of hospitals, as well as in the specialized department, it is established that the most often reason for the repeat operations is deficient skill of surgeons performing the first intervention. It is appropriate to reveal Dupuytrens contracture at the beginning when the operative intervention is more easily fulfilled. The operative intervention is more efficient in the specialized department.
