Singer used it (according to Ber. . D. Ges Gyn., Bd. 13) and found that it has a very good effect, especially in spastic constipation. At the same time, being used in suppositories, quinine exerts its effect within a few minutes and no later than 2 hours, with subcutaneous or intravenous administration, the effect occurs within 6-48 hours. The dose is 0.25-0.5-1.0. Side effects are very rare. The author recommends quinine especially for the treatment of postoperative constipation.
