In the last 1520 years, much attention has been paid to the study of the dependence of the development of atherosclerosis, in particular coronary artery disease, and the incidence of it on the nature of a person's diet. It was found that there is a definite relationship between the spread of atherosclerosis and the nature of the diet. If at present there are no data convincingly showing the importance of dietary proteins in the origin of atherosclerosis, then the connection of this disease, which is widespread in our time, with animal fats is considered proven.
