Brning (Klin. Woch, 1923, No. 17) performed in a 59-year-old woman suffering from vasomotor angina pectoris, an operation to extirpate the cervicothoracic part of the sympathetic nerve between g. cervic. sup. and g. stellatum, with the removal of these latter (in addition, this operation was performed by him in 4 cases for other indications).
