During the first period following gastroenterostomy, degenerative processes dominate over proliferative ones, in particular, in the mucous membrane. From the side of the peritoneum, the first adhesions between the stomach and intestines are observed. In histological sections of a piece of old anastomoses, complete restoration of the mucosa is observed.
