Cases of violation of the integrity of the hymen, occurring sub partu, are not rare. If hymen, damaged sub primo coitu, turns out to be completely intact by the beginning of labor attempts, then in most cases, with the normal structure of the tissues that make up its composition, it is known to break in different places of its free edge and form more or less large flaps. These flaps, having undergone an inevitable birth trauma, soaked in the blood that has poured into their tissue, often die, eventually taking the form of ordinary carunculae mirtiformes. These carunculae mirtiformes are, according to the opinion of most authors, only after childbirth, and therefore have a certain importance in solving well-known forensic issues.
