The clinical lecture describes current views about pathogenesis of thrombotic complications in cancer patients. At the same time the risk of iatrogenic thrombophilia under the conditions of radio-, chemotherapy and hormone replacement therapy is considered. Issues concerning scientific explanation of antithrombotic prophylaxis with LMWH are given
