Some of the psychophysiological and psychogenetic research problems are reviewed in the article. Approaches to their resolving with the help of modern genetic methods are analysed. The important role of model objects in genetics of behavior is shown by several examples. Data are given about genetic mechanisms of some psychic diseases in human.
