Pain in the mammary gland (mastodynia) is one of the most common complaints, with which women address themselves to a gynecologist. Mastodynia might be conditioned by various causes: inflammation process, hormonal imbalance, intake of varied groups of medication, including hormonal contraceptives, tumors, intercostal neuralgia, etc. The article presents current data on prevention of the appearance and possible therapies of mastodynia.
