The article presents an orderly analysis of the contents of state regulations on the hotel industry that were adopted at the designated time period at the government level in the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (hereinafter RSFSR). The authors identify the groups of documents that regulated the development of the hotel economy in the specified chronological period, identify the factors that influenced the adoption and implementation of acts to improve the provision of services in hotels of the RSFSR. The contributors pay special attention to the social and political orientation of acts and documents related to the development of the hotel industry in the RSFSR at the government level in the RSFSR.
