Application of the combined adhesive-heat method for making shrink-fit cylindrical joints is described. The results of experimental studies shrink-fit joints on samples with 60mm nominal diameter and 0.01-0.07mm interference are discussed. It is shown that the combined adhesive-heat method produces joints as strong as those produced by thermal method but with interference 2-8 times less.
