Modern concepts of using optimization technologies for structural design are considered. Several approaches of optimization problems for compressor disk are considered. The problem of total weight minimization under certain stress and stiffness constraints is investigated. All results were obtained using developed FE analysis program connected with SQP optimization procedure.
