The article describes theoretical studies of the dependence of geometric parameters of a contact between a tool and a workpiece on the installation of a tool in the process of burnishing. Lathe plates of standard geometry (SNMG) were considered as tools. Modeling of contact interaction was performed in the software environment KOMPAS 3D. There are presented and analyzed the relations based on theoretical research.
