Some features of the reducing of weight and size of high pressure vessels (HPV) with using of a thin-walled metal shell-liner from titanium alloy VT-1,0 are considered in this paper. The main difficulties are encountered under the manufacture of welded titanium alloy liner VT-1,0. There are presented the results of the selection of welding titanium alloy VT-1,0, shown the influence of technology of edge preparation on the quality of welded joints as well as the possibility of using laser welding technology in the liner of the VT-1,0.
