The article offers upgrading of microinterferometer MII-4 with the aim of bringing its capacity to modern analogues based on the analysis of advantages and disadvantages. The upgrade of the device will allow to receive digital images of the surface and keep them for further processing on a computer with the calculation of the fractal dimension.
