The paper presents developments of the department "Engineering ecology of the urban economy" of Moscow State University of Mechanical Engineering (MAMI) in biodiesel production from vegetable raw materials: heterogeneous catalysis vegetable oils (rapeseed, etc.), the transesterification of vegetable oils by supercritical methanol, waste-free loops and production of biofuels from microalgae biomass energy.
