The article introduces the basic terms of the issues raised in the work of G. Marcel, the founder of French existentialism which is a major philosophical movement of the twentieth century. It explores the evolution and classification of "existentialism", existential-phenomenological method, the original ontological theses. The author comes to the conclusion that religious and philosophical doctrine of Marcel is a variant of post-theism in modern Western culture as a diversity from traditional interpretation of reality.
