The paper presents analyzed variants of the determination of the equivalent moment of inertia that is often used in the analysis of the functioning of a wheeled vehicle. The author considers the possibility of applying a parameter used the theory of an automobile: the coefficient of rotating mass in order to solve problems in the case of absence of a rigid connection between an engine and a wheel, such as phase of clutch slipping. The formulas for determining the equivalent moment of inertia using the coefficient of rotating mass are proposed.
