The importance of the problem of surface ozone concentration and its influence on both working conditions and the environment have been presented in the article. It is said that world scientists are engaged in finding the ways to solve the problem. The necessity of the station networks development for monitoring surface ozone concentration in the Russian Federation has been stated. Several ways of protection from excessive ozone concentration are suggested.
