The article considers the factors, levels and specific features of the information component of ethnic mentality and conflict. On the basis of the concept of "glocal culture" there is defined the role and importance of socially significant information as immanent element of ethnicity, as well as basis for the formation of ethnic identity. There is analyzed the relationship of information and the phenomenon of the modern nation renaissance. Trends of "glocal" culture in its linguistic components are considered.
