This article examines development of psychological concept of talent in the period of anthropocentric sociocultural paradigm prevalence. The authors consider the socio-cultural conditions of formation of a new paradigm, the preconditions of reflection on the phenomenon of human abilities, dominant in the Renaissance the main approaches to the analysis of abilities problematics.
