
Layout solutions and transmission failures of off-road vehicles with low pressure tires

The article analyzes the layout solutions for transmissions vehicles on low pressure tires. It is shown that in most cases their transmissions are assembled from finished units of vehicles in production in Russia. Thus wheel drive becomes complicated, transmission components’ life time decreases and typical operational failures appear. The paper presents statistical data on failures of TREKOL-39041 vehicles operated in the Volgograd region, as well as the listed shortcomings of the existing method of calculation of ratios of transmissions.
